Before changing the sand, you can shovel out the feces and urine in the old sand and keep it. After pouring in the new litter, put the excrement with the cat's smell into the litter box, and turn the sand repeatedly, so that the new cat litter can be stained with the cat's unique scent. When they smell the  of their own excrement in the new cat litter, they will understand that this mysterious thing is where they go to the toilet, and they will be less likely to try to eat cat litter.

Gradually Replace the old cat litter

If your original cat litter is bentonite clay, you can pouring a little bit tofu cat litter to see cat’s reaction. Then add the proportion slowly, from 10% to 20%, 30% and then totally replace the bentonite clay. Now you can enjoying using the flush-able cat litter and no more cleaning problem.
